The “Articles” module allows you and your users to post articles on your website which are sorted into categories to make it easier to browse for a specific group of articles. Categories are required to use this module. You can add new articles through the administrator interface and through the user side. Once you create a category and click on a category you will have an additional button that will read “Manage Articles”. Once you click this button you will be taken to a screen to approve, deny and delete articles.
Enable the articles module? – Select “Yes” to enable the article module, otherwise select “No”.
Display top 10 newest articles. – When this option is turned on, your users will see the latest top 10 newest articles on your main article page.
Show dates when displaying articles. – This option shows the date an article was posted on the user side if you have “Yes” selected.
Sort articles by title. – When this option is set to "Yes" then the articles will be sorted by title when a user views the list of articles. Setting this to "No" will sort articles by date with the newest being the first article on the page.
Keys to access the articles. – Select the access-keys that will be able to access the “Articles” module.
Keys to post a new article. – Select the default access-keys a user will need to post an article. When adding a category the “write” keys for a category will overwrite this option.
Keys to manage your articles. – Select the keys a user must have to manage the article module. Users in this key will be able to modify, approve and delete articles from your database.
This screen will allow you to modify the main article page that a user will see when entering the article module. You can also modify individual category pages by selecting the dropdown for “Page to Modify”.
