The “Portals” module allows users to create their own portal site if they have access to create one. The portal site can share contents from other portals on your main website. The created portals can also have their own content, and this uses any modules that are available on your main website. Portals can be created to a descending level of four sub categories for organizing your sub-portal sites.


Add Portal


When adding a portal site, all you need to do is click the “Add Portal” button on the top of your screen and fill out the following fields:


List Under – Select the portal to list the portal you are creating or you can list the portal on the root level.

Portal Title – Enter the name of the portal you are creating into this field.

Description – Enter a short description of the portal you’re creating.

Keys to manage this portal – Select the access keys that a user must have to manage this portal. Users in this key will be able to add a category to modules for this portal, manage users, change the site looks and modify any content users have posted in this portal.




Enable the portals? – Select “Yes” to enable the portals module, otherwise select “No”.

Master site domain (Ex. domain.com) – This option must be correct if the portal module is enabled. This is your domain name for your main website. If this option is not completed correctly, some images or pages may not display on your website.




Keys to access the portal directory. – Select the keys that will be able to access the “Portals” module.

Keys to create new portals. – Select the keys a user must have to create a portal website. If a user has access to create a site, they will only be able to modify and add content to their own portal without conflicting with any other portal.

Keys to be able to manage the portals. – Select the keys a user must have to manage the “Portals” module. Users in this key will be able to modify contents inside of any created portal and add new portals.


Web Pages


This screen will allow you to modify the main “Portals” page that a user will view when entering the ”Portals” module.
