We have a built-in search engine to make finding content easier for you and your site members. In the administration console we offer a "Filters" options on most management screens which allow you to search by field.
The image to the left is how you can search the business listings on your website as an administrator. Each module / add-on will display a different set of fields depending on the fields we offer for the given module.
Users can search most of the modules / add-ons by clicking a "Search" button and some items depend to a search screen. Users can also search the entire website with a single search engine. Below is a list of search capabilities that we provide, these vary on modules / add-ons.
Google Sitemap Friendly
We believe a web site doesn't do you any good if it doesn't help you get traffic right out of the box. Our portal software support a Google Sitemap file simply by copying and pasting your sitemap into a field. We offer a free Google Sitemap Generator for anyone to download to generate a sitemap file by a few clicks of a button.
After you paste your sitemap file in our interface you will just need to simply click a link to submit the sitemap to Google. Doing this will tell Google all about your web pages so they can index more of your pages in their database.
Meta Tags Support
Create your meta tags for any page that you create and some modules also support meta tags. Some of our modules automatically populates meta tags but you are always able to overwrite the meta tags with your own custom meta tags.
We also support ISAPI Rewriting which will give the administrator the ability to create their own pages instead of using a long URL. For an example if you create a category in the Forums module the URL might be "forums.aspx?CatID=938476283472635&ListUnder=032982736428736"; you can enter "tech_support_forums" in the ISAPI URL and your page would be "tech_support_forums.aspx". Search engines will pick up the keywords in the ASPX page that the system has created and better rank this page for you.
