Auction

The “Auction” module allows your users to add auctions to your website. You can specify the number of days before an auction ends. This module requires the creation of categories to function. This module also supports custom fields so you can create your own fields that will be asked when people post an auction on your website. You can specify pricing to post an ad to your website per a category by clicking on the “Pricing” button. To manage the auctions that have been posted on your website, you just need to click on a category and click the “Manage Auctions” button on the top of your screen.

Settings

Enable the auction? – Select “Yes” to enable this module so it’s viewable by your users, otherwise select “No”.

Display the 10 newest ad postings? – By selecting “Yes” this will show the 10 newest auctions that have been posted on your site on the main auction page that a user will see.

Enter the days till an ad gets deleted. – You must specify a numeric value in this field for the number of days before the auction ends and no one else can bid on the item that is posted.

Subject of the email when someone posts a new ad. – This is a subject of an email that is sent to the user when they post an auction on your website.

Body of the email message when someone posts a new ad. – This is the body of the email that is sent to the user that posted the auction on your website.

Maximum quantity a user can sell at a time. – Specify a numeric value to restrict the quantity a user enters when posting an auction to your site.

Security

Keys to access the auction. – Select the keys that a user must have to access the “Auction” module.

Keys to post a new ad. – Select the default keys a user must have to post an auction on your site. When adding categories, the “write” keys will overwrite this option.

Keys to manage the auctions. – Select the keys that are required to manage the auction module. Users in this key will be able to modify and delete auctions from your website.

Web Pages

This screen will allow you to modify the main auction page that a user will see when entering the article module. You can also modify individual category pages by selecting the dropdown for “Page to Modify”.
