Advertising The advertising module is split into three different sections. You will have the ads that will show on your website, the zones, and the pricing plans that will show on your advertising web page for users to purchase ad space on your site. Advertisements To add an advertisement you will need to click on the “Add Ad” button on the top of your screen. In this screen you will have the following options: Username – The associated user on your website that will be able to look up the statistics for this advertisement Site URL – The URL you want this advertisement to be directed to. ImageL – You may browse your local hard drive to upload a image for an advertisement. Max Clicks – The maximum number of clicks before the advertisements stops displaying on your website. Max Exposures – The maximum number of times the advertisement will show up before it stops showing up on your site. Total Clicks – How many times this ad has been clicked on. Total Exposures – How many times this ad has been shown on your site. Zone – Select the zone you want to target the advertisement to. Start Date – The date the ad will start showing on your website. HTML Code – This is optional and will overwrite the Site URL and Image URL fields if there’s a value entered into this field. This is an important field if you sign up for an affiliate program on another site where they generate the HTML code for you. Target Ads to Pages – The web pages on your site that this ad will show up under, leave blank for them to show on your whole website. Target Ads to Category – The categories this ad will show up under, or leave “List in whole website” selected so the ad shows in your whole site. Target Ads to Portals – The portal that this ad will show in, you will only see this option if you have the portal module enabled. Note that entering the max clicks or max exposures, whichever one reaches its limit first then the ad will stop displaying on your site. Pricing Plans To add a pricing plan all you need to do is to click the “Add Pricing Plan” button on the top of the screen. Once you’re on the page to add a plan you will have the following options: Plan Name – The name of the plan you want to create. This name will display to the user when on the advertising page before adding the plan to the cart. Description – A short description of your pricing plan. One-time Price – Enter a setup fee for this pricing plan. Recurring – The recurring price for this plan. Recurring Cycle – Select from the dropdown menu if you want a monthly price, every 3 months, 6 months or a yearly price. Zones When you add an zone, and then click the “Add Zone” button on the top of the screen. Once your on the add screen then all you need to do is enter a zone name for your zone you want to create. Settings Enable the banner advertising? – Select “Yes” to enable the advertising module on your site, otherwise select “No” to disable this module. Enable the statistics so advertisers can lookup their statistics? – Select “Yes” to allow users to look up their statistics on your website, otherwise select “No”. Target window to open sponsors advertisements in. – Enter a window target to open new advertisements in. Enter “_Blank” for a new window or enter “_parent” to open advertisements in the user’s current browser window. Security Keys to access the advertising page- Select the keys a user must have to go to the advertisement page that shows your page content and pricing plans. Keys a user must have to view their ad statistics. – Select the keys a user must have to be able to look up their statistics if this feature is enabled. Keys to be able to see all the statistics – Select the keys a user can have to view the statistics for all the advertisements for all your users on your site. The default is the Administrator key. Keys to manage the advertisements – Select the keys that a user must have to manage the advertisement module. Users in this key will be able to “Add/Modify ads, “Add/Modify” pricing plans, and “Add/Modify” ad types. Web Page Enter the web page to edit the content to the advertising page that your visitors will see.
