Portal Software Changes

Teleconference / Chat Rooms

New AJAX style chat rooms to allow an administrator to configure multiple chat rooms to keep the users communication with each other live. Users can also send private messages and customize their chat text styles and send emotions to other users in the chat rooms.

Affiliate Program

There have been several options added to the affiliate module to allow up to a five (5) tier setup. Users can customize their tree view if the waiting room is enabled so they can layout their referrals in a fashion to receive better percentages for people that are always selling products / services within your community.

Live Support

Brand new live support module enables your website visitors / customers to click a button to chat with an online agent instantly. The live support allows the administrator to setup multiple users to be agents within their business.

Database Design

We implemented several database changes to enable better indexing of large amounts of data. These changes are in all the modules within the portal software.

New Looks

Added several CSS changes and customizing changes to give your web portal a more unique look than ever before.

Hot or Not

New module that gets pictures uploaded to the user profiles displayed for users to rate the pictures from a 1-10 scale and view rating results.

SEO Features

At SepCity we believe in just not offering software that looks clean and professional but also built in features to get your traffic from all the major search engines. Most tools we have are manual process so they do need a little help from you, like meta keywords, description, page titles, submit a site map to Google and give categories a new user-friendly page name like "enterprise.aspx" instead of a long string of letters and numbers for the page URL’s.

Shopping Mall

We added multiple features and redid the shopping mall with real time shipping costs from FedEx, UPS, and USPS. We also added handling fees, tax exempt items, related products, a wish list, and redesign the whole shopping mall module so it looks more modern.

Google Sitemap Generator

We have made a windows based Google sitemap.xml file generator that can easily be downloaded and installed to your windows desktop and run by a click of a button by entering your website URL. The generator will spider anything within your domain and output an XML file to submit to Google when it’s all finished running. This software is offer completely free and by default the filters are setup for better results when using our portal software.

AutoSubmit

Submit your site to over a 1,000 top link directories from around the world and keep track of which sites you submitted to. The AutoSubmit supports multiple domains so you can market as many websites as you want. This is a manual submission process so you will get better results from the link directories and better SEO results.

Company Recap

Implemented a new SepCity look / logo for the start of 2009. We changed our navigation and support pages to make finding information a lot easier.

We also updated our online help documents towards the end of the year and continuing to do so to help you find instant help online.

The year 2008 has been an exciting year for SepCity, Inc. as we doubled in size once again and offering more robust features than ever. Portal Updates

RSS Feeds

Added RSS feeds to every module as an option for your website visitors to easily get the latest news / features from your website instantly.

Online Games

We added 10 new online flash games for your website users to play around with to keep them busy in your community.

Match Maker

New match maker module to enable your users to find a date or browse through profiles. The administrator can create multiple custom fields to configure the module to their own website needs.

Photo Albums

New module to allow your users to create photo albums and share them to the public within your community website.

Portals

The portals module allows the administrator or users to create their own community within your network. There is an option to allow the administrator to enable category sharing to share the content within a given category to a group of selected portals so anything that is posted in that category will show up in multiple portals. The portals have every module that is activated on the main website besides the advertisements, affiliate program and the administrator of the portal cannot send newsletters due to possible Spam issues. The portals module is the most unique software that is found on the Internet related to the web and cannot be found anywhere else.

Company Recap

We have finally released our portals module after a long development term and have started off very successful. We have also doubled on our ASP customer base. Every year there has been an increase in new customers and volume of users and we plan on keeping this up throughout the future.

2006

Code Changes

The portal software has been converted from standard ASP and VB6 files to 100% .NET code. This allows self installed customers to install the software on shared hosting companies that does not have the old COM objects requirements for file uploading and sending email.

User Pages

New module developed to allow your users to create their own personal website within your community.

Blogs

We released a new module for your users to create their own blogs on your website or read blogs that have been posted.

Photo Gallery

We released a new photo gallery that is similar to the file libraries but just for image uploads. Users are able to rate photos, upload photos to categories specified by the administrator.

Auction

A brand new auction module has been released to allow your members to offer your users to bid on their items that they are selling and the high bidder wins the item. Buyers and sellers can leave feedback on each other and payments through PayPal are available to allow a safe and secured transaction for payments.

Classified Ads

New classified ads module has been released to enable your members to sell items at a fixed price to other members. Users can leave feedback on each other and make payments through PayPal if the seller has PayPal enabled in their account.

Alumni module enables your website visitors to submit a form to lookup friends that they have gone to high school with.

Manage your high school or college sports team. This module manages your team’s schedule, season outlook, and player and coach bios.

This new module will offer your speaker’s to speak about topics and speeches specified by the administrator. Visitors can request a speaker to come to their place of business.

User Reviews

Setup a review module for your users to rate questions on certain topics specified by the administrator.

Event Calendar

This brand new module enables the administrator to create company events or your users can have their own personal event calendar.

E-Learning

You can now offer online courses within your community. Your users can register for free or paid courses and take online exams and assignments that the class instructors have created.

Skins

Added support for multiple skins so the administrator can create more than one skin and the user can choose the skin they wish to use while browsing your portal website.

Company Recap

SepCity now offer ASP hosting so we host the software on our servers for a monthly fee. This year we have focused more on educational modules for high schools and colleges to setup a professional community. Most of the profit made throughout this year has been invested into several servers for us to host the software to customers. Our hosting service enables us to mass update everyone’s website with new updates and features.

We release a new module to bring in live weather forecast on your website to allow your users to see how the weather is in their neighborhood.

This new module gets a live feed for your member’s horoscope if they have a birth date entered into their account information.

A live feed module to get the live stock quotes from yahoo finance.

Postcards

SepCity has been formed into an s-Corporation after its success and feed of the popular downloads of Community Wizard that was downloaded thousands of times for free. Our software originally was in standard ASP and separate website applications that we offered for free. In the year 2002 we combined all of our free applications into a portal / CMS system to we started from there to see the future will bring us.
